1-Get a scope of the project. What is the problem? What is the client trying to achieve? What is the size of the project? Have the client draw a plan of the house, apartment or design site. This can be all done through communications over the computer or by phone. Most clients requests for portfolios. There are ways a designer can have clients access their portfolio without the worry of people stealing them.

2-Explain the design process with clients and draw up a contract stating what will be done and this is the step where you establish a budget and how transactions can be made during the process of project development. Some Designers charge by the hour and others charge a flat fee. Decide whether this is a pay per session method, pay before work or pay after. This can be done in the form of a credit card so that the Designer can use it to pay for materials and furniture. 3-Talk with clients to get the drift of their tastes and likes /dislikes. Ask them to pick out designs and furniture pieces the find in magazines or go online with them to find things that they like.

4-Sit down and design. You keep designing until the slightest hint of doubt is removed from your mind. use your creativity. Go to libraries and sea different ceiling designs, different floor designs etc. doing this will expand your imagination. Make every single thing in immense detail so that it’s perfect.
